SP Clarke has been a writer and musician- deeply entrenched in the Portland, Oregon rock music scene for over twenty five years. He has played and recorded with several popular local bands in that time, including Walkie Talkie, The Rainy Boys, Ed and the Boats and Jesus Presley. Over that same span of time, he has written monthly columns for numerous Portland music publications, including a twenty year stint reviewing the recordings of local musicians (over 1400 reviews and countless feature stories) for Two Louies magazine, a well-known Oregon music industry monthly. In addition he has written for Billboard magazine, the Southeast Examiner and countless other publications, large and small.
