SP Clarke has written over ten thousand songs, since he first began dabbling in the craft, at age fourteen- recording over twenty-five albums of original compositions, while recording another thirteen albums of instrumental/soundtrack material in various home studio configurations. One of his songs, “I Don’t Know Anymore,” won an Honorable Mention award in the American Song Festival, a national competition. His songs have been featured in the bands Walkie Talkie, The Rainy Boys, Ed and the Boats and Jesus Presley. Some of his instrumental works have been utilized as the soundtracks for the short film, The Race (1989) and for the longer project, The Belle Of Amherst (1990). Influences, in various eras and genres, range from the Beatles, Jethro Tull, Peter Gabriel and XTC, to Philip Glass and Arvo Part, to Radiohead and Coldplay.
