Since childhood, SP Clarke has displayed a keen interest in photography- cherishing fondly the many afternoons spent as a boy, in the family’s makeshift darkroom, developing the photographs he had taken on his trusty Brownie camera. The advent of the digital age has afforded him the opportunity to explore his passion for spontaneous portrait photography; as well as his interest in nature shots. He is rarely seen in public without his camera, always on the lookout for a special portrait or an unusual event in nature to record for posterity. He also enjoys enlarging pictures of flowers far beyond recognition- creating powerfully amorphous contours of stark, contrasting shades and strikingly brilliant colors.
